Valeriya Vitvitskaya  ceramic artist 

Валерия Витвицкая, художник-керамист

Valeria was born in Novosibirsk, where she spent the first 13 years of her life. She was actively interested in creativity, including drawing and painting on fabric. Participated at city and regional art competitions, has taken prizes 1st and 2nd places. After moving to Moscow, she drew in pencil at the School of Watercolors by Sergei Andriyaki, studied photography, completed a course in graphics at the Rodchenko School, practised bodily improvisations at the School of Plastic Theater "Air".

From 2012-2015 she lived and studied in London. Valeriya completed a Master's degree at the London University of the Arts at Central St. Martin's College, where studied Innovation Management. 

 

In 2016, she took a professional retraining course at the RMA Business School, majoring in Art Management and gallery business. In the same year, she founded The ARTIVIST agency in the field of branding and visual communications for cultural institutions.

 

Valeriya worked at the State Museum of Oriental Art and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, where she was engaged in marketing and communications. 

 

In 2021, she graduated from the Contemporary Ceramics course at the British Higher School of Design. The series "Holy Mushrooms" created as part of the course participated in a group exhibition at the Advent. The beginning, a festival of Contemporary Art at the New Tretyakov Gallery. 

 

Participated in Clay residency at Get Art Fit School in 2022. The artist lives and works in Moscow.
